Ben Dyer Associates, Inc. provided surveying, land planning and site/civil engineering services for the full redevelopment of this 1.6 plus acre site located in Bladensburg, Maryland in 2008. We prepared and led the project team through the Detailed Site Plan process, vacation and purchase of the Windom Street right-of-way, final recorded plat, and building permits for the office building and the new service garage.
The existing site and facilities were used as the headquarters and main operational hub for one of Prince George’s County’s largest trucking, trash collection and recycling companies. The project included full renovations of the dilapidated +/- 5900 square-foot, one story brick and block office building and one truck repair garage, into a 7750 square-foot, two story split-face masonry block state of the art industrial office building with top of the line amenities and features such as conference rooms, security, kitchen, etc.
This project site also included the demolition and removal of an existing 6,000 square-foot, one story brick and block warehouse. The warehouse was replaced with a two-story 8,000 square-foot split-faced masonry block state of the art full-service truck repair facility and truck wash with offices.
The project site was completely upgraded with a new parking lot, security fencing and controlled gated access, landscape and lighting.
