The Brickyard

Ben Dyer Associates, Inc. worked to develop the Brickyard property south of Laurel, Maryland to accommodate industrial and residential/mixed use programming. The property historically was mined for clay to make bricks and was restored to prepare the property for the mixed-use development.   Brickyard North is a 51 +/- acre parcel comprised of six industrial buildings, providing 651,000 square feet of gross floor area, including 7.5 acres of land dedicated to tree preservation and a small dinosaur fossil park managed by the Maryland National Capitol Park and Planning Commission.  The mixed-use residential portion of the Brickyard is a Planned Community which consists of 63 +/- acres, providing two multi-family buildings totaling 860 residential units, 353 townhomes, 52 single family homes, and approximately 30,000 square feet for office/flex space, restaurant, and community clubhouse facilities located adjacent to a MARC train station.
